North River Home Care is joining the fight towards a world without Alzheimer’s. We’re proud to announce our sponsorship of the 2025 Walk to End Alzheimer’s® in Plymouth, MA on Saturday, October 25th, and we invite you to join us in making a difference.

Why This Walk Matters

Every 65 seconds, someone in the United States develops Alzheimer’s disease. Nearly 7 million Americans are living with the disease, and one in three seniors dies with Alzheimer’s or another dementia. Here in Massachusetts and New Hampshire alone, more than 162,000 people are living with Alzheimer’s, with 261,000 caregivers dedicating 323 million hours of unpaid care.

These aren’t just statistics—they’re our neighbors, friends, family members, and the clients we serve every day. At North River Home Care, we witness firsthand the challenges families face when living with this disease, and we are committed to being part of the solution.

Where Your Support for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s Goes

Every dollar raised makes a real difference in our community and beyond. The funds support:

  • 24/7 Helpline Support: Providing around-the-clock assistance to families navigating the challenges of Alzheimer’s
  • Local Programs: Funding support groups, educational workshops, and care consultations right here in our community
  • Groundbreaking Research: Advancing critical research toward prevention methods, treatments, and ultimately, a cure
  • Care and Support Services: Delivering free resources and programs to those affected by the disease

The impact is significant. In 2023 alone, the Walk to End Alzheimer’s raised $100 million nationally, enabling the Alzheimer’s Association to deliver vital services while pushing forward with promising research initiatives.

A Message from Our Family to Yours

At North River Home Care, we’ve held the hands of families facing Alzheimer’s. We’ve shared in their struggles and celebrated their moments of joy. We have seen the toll this disease takes, but we’ve also witnessed the incredible strength of the human spirit.

This walk is not just about raising funds—it’s about hope. It’s about showing every family affected by Alzheimer’s that they are not alone. It’s about believing that together, we can create a future where memories are not stolen, where families aren’t torn apart, and where the word “Alzheimer’s” becomes a chapter in history rather than a diagnosis we fear.

Will you walk with us?
